Frequently Asked Questions

What is your return policy?

Himelhoch’s® accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, undamaged or incorrect items in new condition within 14 days of the original delivery date for a full refund. Beauty products must be unused and unopened. Please contact info@himelhochs.com about your return. Himelhoch’s will send you a pre-paid shipping label for your return. All sales of fascinators from Cupids Millinery as well as custom or bespoke orders from other designers are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

When can I expect to receive my order?

We typically take 1-2 days to process orders. You can expect your order to arrive in 5-7 business days on average. When processing and delivery times deviate from the above, the product description will specify that. For example, our artist takes 3-4 business days to process our made-to-order repurposed watch bands before they ship to you. That lead time is in the product description.

How can I contact you?

You can reach us by email at info@himelhochs.com or by phone at +1-734-219-5010. We are here to provide you with more information and answer your questions. We are a family company with a small team. Therefore, we will reply to you within 24 business hours or less.

Do you have a brick-and-mortar store?

For your convenience, we are available online exclusively.

Have you really been in business for 150 years?

Yes. We are 4th generation Himelhochs who are honoring the legacy of our great grandfather, who started Himelhoch’s on a push cart in the thumb of Michigan in the 1870s. We moved to Detroit in 1907 with the backing of Marshall Fields. Please see https://shophimelhochs.com/pages/we-invite-you-to-our-story for more details.

Why do you focus on emerging designers?

Helping designers get the recognition and exposure they deserve is what has made Himelhoch’s unique from the beginning. Featuring new talent sets us apart from other department stores. We feel a calling to support fresh talent and small businesses. Estee Lauder and Calvin Klein were new once. They were supported by Himelhoch’s when they launched their lines, as were many others. We honor this legacy in while bringing you the opportunity to find unique items and new ways to connect with emergent designers.
